Business information: New Leaf Psychology Centre and its associates provide assessment and treatment services across the lifespan, from early childhood through to adulthood. Treatment services are offered in individual, family, couple and group formats. Assessment services include psychoeducational, developmental, giftedness, psychological, and rehabilitation (MVA/WSIB) assessments.

Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent

Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible

Job duties:

· Administer, score, and interpret psychological tests under the supervision of a registered psychologist

· Administer, apply and interpret tests, scales and psychological measures

· Supervise staff, undergraduate and graduate students, research assistants and other trainees

· Assist clinical psychologists in the administration of psychological, developmental, cognitive, psychoeducational, and giftedness assessments

· Perform administrative tasks

· Prepare psychological assessment reports

· Contact collateral interviews with family and/or school personnel.

Requirements:

-Education: A Bachelor Degree with Honours in Psychology or any related field is required.

-Experience: At least two years of recent experience in conducting standardized intellectual, cognitive and academic tests with children and youth, as well as, experience administering, scoring and interpreting standardized parent and teacher report questionnaires is required

-Experience in clinical report writing is required.

-Knowledge of using scoring software for testing is required.

-Interpretation of computer-generated test reports is essential.

-Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point is required.

-Strong background in learning, developmental disabilities, child development, psychopathology, and experience working in schools is an asset.

Salary: $40.00 hourly, 37.5 hours per week.

Important information:

Flexibility in schedule is required. Work schedule is from Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. This include an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes and 2 paid healthy breaks of 10 minutes each. Overtime work and weekend work may be required.
