Reporting to the Manager, Youth Employment, the Community Partnership Specialist is responsible for promoting YOU’s service model to community organizations and their youth from underrepresented areas of London and Middlesex County. In this role, the Community Partnership Specialist creates presentations, arranges meetings, and executes the cold outreach strategy, to create education pathways to intake and service new youth. The Community Partnership Specialist promotes partnerships with other organizations to secure referral pathways throughout London and Middlesex County. The Community Partnership Specialist helps youth access employment assistance. In addition, the Community Partnership Specialist is responsible for cultivating relationships with businesses and local community centers in London and Middlesex County with the aim of intaking new youth for job search preparation, placement and training experiences. Qualified candidates possess exceptional communication, strong relationship building and customer service skills, and hold values that support our corporate vision of being “A community where youth are embraced and will thrive”.
This is a contract position ending in March 2026, with the possibility of renewal depending on funding availability.
Specific responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Execute cold outreach strategy and targeted list of organizations, community groups, and youth centers
- Creating and delivering marketing material and presentations outlining YOU’s employment service model
- Track outreach touchpoints (i.e., calls, emails and visits) and meetings, and the resulting youth intake data
- Develop strategies with organizations and community centers to create opportunities for youth to engage in YOU programming
- Maintain an active network, as supplied by the Manager, Youth Employment, that will offer youth intake and EC job placement and training opportunities
- Supports community engagement efforts by attending networking events, and representing YOU at community events
- Liaise with YOU staff, community partners, and agencies
- Coordinate, host and facilitate special events and meetings for potential or existing community partners
- Support in the Community Employment Specialist role, as required and directed by Manager, Youth Employment.
Qualifications:
This position requires the following:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma or related work experience in Business Development, Sales, or Community Development
- Proven ability to work in a target driven work environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to build relationships with organizations to partner with YOU in London and Middlesex County
- Knowledge of London and Middlesex County education and community resources
- Prior experience working with a diverse youth population, including persons from diverse cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ2S groups, youth affected by poverty, mental health, justice, addictions and homelessness an asset
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 as well as other software programs are required
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet program needs including evenings and weekends
- Access to own transportation required
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check for youth population
- Ability to present to large groups of people, build relationships, and persuade.
- Strong writing, presentation, statistical reporting, file management and organizational skills
