Job description

Vera Home Care is looking for a competent bookkeeper to handle financial
plans and policies, establish accounting practices, monitor relationships with
lending institutions and the financial community, maintain fiscal records, and
prepare financial reports, including monthly bank reconciliations.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with receivables (invoicing, deposits, statements) and payables
(bills, payments, expense reports)
• Manage payroll and remittances
• Prepare reconciliations – bank and credit card statements
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial and management reports
• Perform electronic filings

Qualifications and Requirements

• CGA designation preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping
• Previous experience with Wave Accounting and Rise is an asset
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines
• Ability to provide at least 3 references
• Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
