Steve Cordes

Executive Director

Steve joined Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) as its Executive Director in 1988. Under his leadership, YOU has grown into an internationally recognized and award-winning agency. Steve is a sought after speaker who shares his passion, insights and experiences in the areas of community engagement, social enterprise and youth services. Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Western University. He is a recipient of two Paul Harris Fellowships from Rotary International and had held positions at Fanshawe College and Pathways Skills Development. Steve is a former Rotarian and member of numerous community task groups. He has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations and provincial associations.

Amy Lee

Director, Administration and Operations

Amy joined YOU in 2013 overseeing Operations and Project Management. Amy brings almost thirty years of leadership experience from healthcare and non-profit organizations. Amy’s responsibilities includes operational improvement, agency-wide project management, risk & insurance management as well as oversight of Human Resources, Information Services and Technologies, Policy Development and the agency’s KPI Report and Balanced Score Card. She is a CRM and a Risk Fellow from the Risk and Insurance Management Institute. Amy holds a B.Sc.(O.T.) from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Ivey Business School, Western University. Amy has served on the boards and board executive committees of several non-profit organizations, provincial, and national professional associations. Currently, she is a member of the Finance & Audit Committee of the London Community Foundation, the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) Middlesex-Elgin Foundation Board and the VON Canada Board.

Maryann Moons

Director, Finance

Maryann, CPA-CA, joined YOU in 2016 with 20 years of progressive accounting and management experience in all aspects of an extremely complex finance department at a multinational construction firm. She worked extensively in cross functional teams and has considerable experience providing strategic support to stakeholders in various capacities. Her audit experience with EY, LLP provided Maryann with exposure to the non-profit sector including charities, foundations and hospitals. Maryann holds a BA in Administrative and Commercial Studies and an HBA from the Ivey Business School, both from Western University. She volunteers her time with Brescia’s Institutional Planning Committee and Academic Pavilion Advisory Group, the Participation House Foundation Board, and is an active member of FEI Canada.
