Paul Digby
Paul Digby is a partner in Digby and Associates Inc. The company specializes in corporate leadership and strategic managing consulting services. Paul is a graduate of Western University and Niagara University: New York. He has earned several certifications in Conflict Management and ADR from Western University, Osgoode Hall and the University of Windsor. Since 2010, Paul has worked as a Consultant with the Ministry of Education. Previously, Paul was a secondary school teacher and administrator for 32 years in London, Strathroy and Toronto. Paul’s community work included coaching North London Baseball and London Minor Football. His present community involvement includes serving on the Board of the Children’s Aid Society and Youth Opportunities Unlimited.
Walter LeGrow
Past President
Walt is President of LeGrow Consulting, an organization focused on the identification and development of leadership talent. As well, Walt is involved with a number of start-up and early stage ventures as an investor, advisor and director. Previously, he was in the corporate sector for more than 30 years. From 1988-2003, Walt was Vice President, Human Resources for EMCO Corporation. Walt has been involved with a number of community organizations including Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Children’s Aid Society of London and Middlesex, London Investment in Education Council, Investing in Children, and Kid’s Count. Walt is a graduate of the Ivey Business School, Western University.
Christopher Mackie
Vice President
Chris is the Medical Officer of Health and CEO of the Middlesex-London Health Unit. He is Co-Chair of the Mayor’s Advisory Panel on Poverty, and is also engaging local community leaders and key institutions across the health and social services sectors in a collaborative process to take action on poverty, mental health and addictions, and related health issues. Since 2013, he has led a Health Unit budgeting process that identifies priorities and allocates resources to where they can have the greatest impact. Dr. Mackie has also championed the implementation of innovative harm-reduction programs including the distribution of naloxone kits and safer inhalation kits.
Janette MacDonald
Second Vice President
Janette is the CEO and General Manager of Downtown London, the umbrella organization for the London Downtown Business Association – a traditional business improvement area – and MainStreet London – a not for profit downtown revitalization organization. Janette has served on the boards of Tourism London, The Ontario Business Improvement Area Association and currently serves on the board of the International Downtown Association. She is past president of the Rotary Club of London South and a double Paul Harris fellow.
Dan Grantham
Dan brings more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience to his work with Youth Opportunities Unlimited. He has been a board member since 2003 and is recipient of the Sutton Group Real Estate Platinum Award from 2002 to 2008 and the London and St. Thomas Association of Realtors Community Service Award 2004. Dan’s community work includes past President of Tourism London Board of Directors, member of the Rotary Club of London South and member, Board of Directors with the Boys and Girls Club of London.
Phil Masschelein
Phil is Vice President, Neighbourhood Developments, Sifton Properties Limited where he oversees all stages of the land development and approvals process. He joined Sifton Properties in 1999. His current portfolio requires extensive interaction with federal, provincial and municipal government staff and politicians, as well as other members of the building and construction industry. He is a member of the London Home Builders’ Association, the Ontario and Canadian associations, and is active in numerous other industry organizations. Phil is a graduate of The University of Western Ontario, where he received an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Urban Development.
Cheryl Miller
Cheryl has served the London community for more than 30 years as a Trustee and former chair of the London School Board and as City Councillor. Cheryl has served on the boards of the London Economic Development Corporation, London Convention Centre, London Downtown Business Association, Old East BIA and Habitat for Humanity London’s Women’s Build. She is past President, Rotary Club of London South, a Paul Harris Fellow and practices the Rotary creed of ‘Service above Self’. Cheryl is Vice President of The Forever Legacy Foundation.  She is currently a salesperson with Royal Lepage Triland Brokerage.
Natalie Allen
Natalie is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Western University, where she teaches and does research in organizational psychology and directs The TeamWork Lab. She has a been involved in numerous youth-related volunteer activities in London, has served on the Board of Directors of Belton House and the HR Committee of the Board at St Joseph’s Health Care Centre, and is co-founder of WorkStory.net an online project aimed at young people transitioning into the world of work.
Rod Skinkle
Building on his background in Applied Research and Student Affairs, Rod has led Academica Group to become Canada’s leading provider of content, consumer research, and consulting services for higher education. With corporate offices in London, Ontario, Academica Group has worked with most of Canada’s universities, colleges, and government’s coast-to-coast-to-coast, as well as many institutions throughout the US.
In addition to his overall leadership and executive responsibilities, Rod leads a policy research division focused on innovation and collaboration with the higher education sector.
When not at the office, Rod has a passion for the open road on his motorcycle, and enjoys the serenity of wilderness camping and fishing.
Terry Gillis 
Terry is President and Managing Partner of Carswell Partners Inc., a local talent management consulting firm.  Terry possesses an entrepreneurial spirit that has helped foster the growth of the firm since he joined it in 2000.  He brings over 20 years of progressive experience in the field of talent management with expertise in attracting, retaining, managing and transitioning talent in both private and public sector settings. Aside from his work pursuits, Terry is a faculty member at Wilfrid Laurier University, participates in local sports association and currently sits on the board of Career Partners International as the organization’s compliance officer.
Hatem Abouzeenni
Hatem has been in the financial services industry for over 12 years and in various roles with different banks. Currently, he works as a Small Business Advisor with Scotiabank where he assists small business owners and non-profit organizations with business banking services, investments and financing. In addition to volunteering on the YOU Board of Directors, Hatem also volunteers with ‘Rise London’ as a business mentor, assisting new entrepreneurs to develop and launch their businesses.
Paola Soto
Paola is the Service Coordinator & Coach at Libro Credit Union. Before joining the board in 2017, Paola spent a year as an intern on YOU’s Board of Directors to broaden her exposure to board governance and youth issues. Paola contributes a youth perspective to the governance at YOU and is very active on the Breakfast for YOU Planning Committee.
