Reporting to the Housing First Program Manager, the Youth Wellness Hub Team Leader is responsible for supporting Youth Wellness Hub staff, acting as the primary point of contact for community partners, and supporting the development and implementation of Youth Wellness Hub programming and associated reporting. The Team Leader will support and assist in creating a safe and accepting environment for youth with a special emphasis on the 2SLGBTQ+, Indigenous youth , and other marginalized youth in the community. Qualified candidates possess exceptional communication and leadership skills, work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and hold values that match our corporate vision, mission & values. This position will participate in recruitment, hiring, performance management, and professional development of staff and volunteers.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and day-to-day supervision of staff, students, and volunteers
- Develop processes, perform decision-making, and contribute to the successful delivery of Youth Wellness Hub integrated services
- Create opportunities within the hub for youth to connect with YWHO partners and build awareness of available services and supports through community outreach
- Track and maintain statistical program information including information through My Wellness Passport, and assist with narrative and data reports to the funder
- Oversee the development of community partnerships aimed at creating an integrated youth services model
- Oversee data systems that track service use and outcomes; providing analysis of results and recommending enhancements as needed
- Assist with the development of funding applications and proposals
- Deliver public presentations and conduct tours of the Youth Wellness Hub
- Facilitate Community Advisory meetings, and provide representation to relevant community networks, coalitions, and events as required
- Provide on-call support, including after-hour to support staff and serious occurrences
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Human Services, or Health Services from a recognized educational institution
- Demonstrated experience leading a diverse team of staff, students, and volunteers
- A clear understanding of the Youth Wellness Hub Ontario model of service, Housing First Philosophy, and Principles of Youth Engagement
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meeting targets and deadlines, and abilities to manage a variety of daily operations and special projects
- Demonstrated understanding of YOU’s wraparound approach and the diverse nature of programming to support youth
- Ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with youth, employers, and community partners
- Actively model the Mission, Vision, and Values of YOU, demonstrating behaviors that are in alignment with the same
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Access to reliable transportation, G license, with a clean Driver’s abstract
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet program needs
HOURS OF WORK
- 35 hours per week, flexible schedule depending on the needs of the Youth Wellness Hub
- Extended hours and weekend work may be required from time to time
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $26.92 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
