Job Duties:
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
- Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
- Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
- Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (AOC)
- Determine weldability of materials
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Using (MIG) welding and torch cutting to manufacture and repair waste and recycling equipment
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Read and use measuring tape
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
- Set up and operate a hydraulic brake press
- Follow work orders and service requisitions to ensure components, such as compactors, balers, and panels, are completed for scheduled dates
-Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications according to drawings.
-Prepare daily maintenance inspection logs for equipment

Requirements
Education: Some secondary education is required
Experience: At least 2 years of MIG Welding experience is required.
Ability to Torch Cut
Experience operating the Brake Press
Ability to work independently and work well in a team
Forklift experience is an asset

Salary: $24.00 - $26.00 hourly, 30 - 40 hours per week
