Job Duties:
- Supervise workers and projects
- Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Coordinate repairs and rentals
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve performance
- Requisition materials and supplies
- Dispatch drivers and monitor routes to ensure schedules are met and to resolve operating problems
- Maintain the company standards and high reputation
- Check that the information in the driver logbook is accurate
- Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit
- Receive and relay information to other workers in the company
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes and other equipment
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption
- Prepare work reports and monitor expenditures
Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary school is required
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in transportation operations are required
Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Work under pressure, physically demanding, Attention to detail
Personal suitability: Excellent written communication, excellent oral communication, organized, team player, initiative, client focus, accurate, effective interpersonal skills, ability to supervise up to 10 people.
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook
Salary: $28.21 to $29.21 hourly, 50 to 60 hours per week

Important Information: Flexibility on schedule is required. Work schedule is 5 days per week. Shift is usually from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm but it may vary depending on our business’ needs. Availability to be on call on weekends. Overtime is required.
