Job Description:
• Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures
• Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs
• Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services
• Authorize the development of specifications for products or services
• Manage contracts
• Review and process claims against suppliers
• Oversee the analysis of data and information
• Oversee the preparation of reports
• Advise senior management
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
• Authorize the development of specifications for products or services
• Plan and control budget and expenditures for the business unit
• Hire, train, direct and motivate staff
• Manage the global supply base (suppliers)
• Supervise the global logistics and operations throughout the supply chain
• Overlook the performance of the different subsidiaries in different countries
• Responsible for the gross margin of the business
• Contribute and execute business growth strategies
• Update portfolio of domestic logistics suppliers, mainly in Asia and Latin America
• Update portfolio of seafood suppliers in Asia and Latin America
• Update portfolio of customs agent, inland freight suppliers and cold storage

Requirements:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce or economics is required
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a purchasing agent or officer are required
- Excellent oral and written communication, Judgement, Flexibility, Team player, Organized, Dependability, Initiative
- Work under pressure, Large workload
- Advanced experience in Global Logistics of food and perishable goods is required
- Advanced experience in Quality Assurance and International Quality Standards, including traceability and regulations is required
- Experience in risk assessment in the supply chain is required
- Experience in marine cargo insurance negotiation and management is an asset
- Experience with organizational KPIs: Operational, Financial is required
- Experience in leading multiple departments, proven leadership skills is a great asset
Language: English and Spanish (Spanish is mandatory as the candidate will perform tasks in Spanish, especially for suppliers in Latin America)
Knowledge requirements
- Advanced knowledge of food production processes, including packaging
- Advanced knowledge on manufacturing processes and international manufacturing standards
- Advanced knowledge in Finance including Costing, P&L & Balance Sheet

Salary: $42.05 - $44.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week.

Benefits: Performance bonus. Since business trips are required (national and international), the company will reimburse the costs of those trips.

Important Information:
-Flexibility in schedule is required. Work schedule is from 9:00am to 6:00pm. 2 days off on a rotational basis.
