Job Description:
• Prepare, clean, and sand steel surfaces to be coated/painted
• Mixing 2 & 3 component paints, zinc and epoxy primer, as well as, urethane paints
• Operate and clean airless pump and conventional spray equipment
• Sandblast steel structures to prepare for paint
• Hand tool cleaning and brush and roller application of primer and paints
Requirements:
-Education: Completion of high school is required.
-Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary certificate is required or completion of a three-to four-year apprenticeship program will help to qualify.
-Experience in spraying epoxies and urethane coating is required
-Experience in Sandblasting, Airless Spray Painting, and Airless Spray Painting equipment is a strong asset.
-Experience in Air Assisted Airless or Conventional Spray Methods is an asset.
-Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Physically demanding, Ability to distinguish between colors
-Personal Suitability: Reliability, Flexibility, Dependability, Team player
-Work site environment: Indoors, Outdoors, At heights
-G Type Driver´s license is an asset
-Language: English is required
Salary: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, 44-48 hours
Benefits: Accommodation provided at a cost, Transportation costs covered if workers need to relocate, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided.
Important information:
-Flexibility on schedule is required. The regular schedule will be from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday. However, flexibility on schedule is required. Work on weekends may be required depending on the business’ needs. Overtime may be required
