Work Location: Various work locations within the Ottawa region. Main locations are: Stittsville, Kanata and Nepean

Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent

Job Description:

Plan and direct grounds maintenance
Supervise landscape work
Repair and maintain equipment
Resolve work related problems
Supervise and schedule staff
Maintain work records and logs
Manage field operations and landscape maintenance works
Coordinate and schedule the use of resources such as labor, equipment, and materials
Supervise employees following safety guidelines and quality standards
Guide and mentor field staff and assist them to perform their duties if needed
Establish and maintain training procedures
Drive to and from work location

Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school is required

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of industry-related experience is required. If the candidate does not have at least 2 years of experience in the industry, then specialized courses or industry-related training and certification in landscaping and horticulture are required

Due to the type of service that we provide, hands-on experience with all aspects of landscaping projects and some supervisory experience are required.

Ability to supervise 5-10 people during the off-season and more than 20 people during peak-season.

Driver’s License is required

Salary: $27.00 to $29.00 hourly, 30-40 Hours per week.

Important Information:

Flexibility in schedule is required. The candidate will work from 7.5 to 10 hours per day, between 7.30am and 6.00pm from Monday to Thursday. Work schedule varies depending on weather conditions. Weekend work and extended hours may be required based on the business needs.
