Job Description:
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Check and weigh materials and products
• Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products
• Perform other labouring and elemental activities
• Prepare new product for yard storage
Requirements:
-Education: Not required
-Experience: Experience is an asset.
-On-the-job-training is provided
-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: repetitive tasks, physically demanding, combination of standing and walking, bending, crouching and kneeling, standing for extended periods of time, tight deadlines, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads.
-Personal suitability: flexibility, team player.
-Worksite environment: fast-paced environment, some outdoors, noisy, dusty, hot, cold
-Weight handling: 10 to 100 lbs. (4.5 to 45 kg)
-Language: Basic level of English is required.
Salary: $20.25 hourly, 44 hours per week.
Benefits: Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate, Medical, dental, group, life, and vision care benefits, extended medical insurance will be provided.
Important Information: Work schedule: from Monday to Thursday, from 7 am to 4:30 pm, and on Fridays from 7 am to 3:30 pm. It includes 30 minutes for lunchtime (unpaid) and 2 healthy breaks of 15 minutes each (paid). Shifts may vary according to the business needs, therefore, flexibility in schedule may be required. Weekend work and overtime may be required. **We guarantee at least 30 hours of work per week during the winter.
