Job Description:

· Establish and implement policies and procedures for engineering work

· Authorize the development of specifications for products or services

· Assign, coordinate and review technical work

· Evaluate technical designs and engineering work

· Oversee the analysis of data and information

· Oversee the preparation of reports

· Consult and work with clients to fulfill their products requirements

· Advise senior management

· Manage contracts

· Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations

· Plan and control budget and expenditures

· Manage, train, and supervise the ULMA Canada design team

· Review all ULMA application drawings to ensure they conform to Canada’s construction laws and local/national/provincial building codes.

· Ensure all applications drawings are to customers’ satisfaction and reflect the customers’ execution plans.

· Ensure drawings are completed on time and conform to customer’s construction schedule

· Work with sales to generate BOMs for awarded jobs

· Participate in annual budget meetings and submit annual costs, headcounts, training plans for the engineering department

· Work closely with our sales managers and participate in sales calls, meetings, presentations if needed

· Work closely during the bid and execution phases of all major & heavy civil projects

· Coordinate all revisions, stampings and manage relationships with outside stamping/engineering firms

· Coordinate any design work that is being completed in Spain to ensure due dates and scope is understood and met

· Travel internationally or domestically to perform some of the job duties

Requirements:

- Education: A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required

- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in an engineering discipline, including supervisory experience, is required.

- Extensive experience in the formwork and shoring industry is required

- Proficient product knowledge in ULMA’s formwork and Shoring systems is required

- Knowledge in analysis programs like Calcumax and Diamonds is required

- Knowledge in material management program REPCON is required

- Experience in Modular Formwork Configurator - Grafsystem is required

- Personal suitability: Judgement, Excellent written communication, Team player, Excellent oral communication, Organized, Client focus

- Working conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail

Salary: $57.69 hourly, 40 Hours per week.

Important Information:

This job is conducted during daytime working hours, Monday to Friday. Flexibility in schedule is required based on the business’ needs. Position requires domestic and international travel.
