Job Description:
● Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
● Prepare and execute authentic Mexican cuisine on the menu
● Operate specific appliances in the kitchen, specific to the menu
● Prepare and cook special meals
● Plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
● Inspect kitchens and food service areas
● Order supplies and equipment
● Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
● Clean kitchen and work areas
● Organize and manage special events
● Manage kitchen operations
● Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of high school is required
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook is required. If the candidate does not have 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary certificate is required
- Experience cooking Mexican food is a strong asset

Salary: $17.00 to $19.00 hourly, 40-50 hours per week. If extra time is needed it can go up to 60 hours per week.

Benefits: 50% Discount on meals, 1% weekly tip, and medical and dental benefits are provided. If the candidate is willing to relocate, the employer covers the transportation costs.

Important Information:
Flexibility in schedule is required especially for take-out service. The work schedule is from Monday to Sunday with one day off on a rotational basis. The most frequent shift is from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM but shifts can vary from day to day. Overtime will be required.
